Paint or henna is the first choice to make. Water-based paint gives bright, photograph-ready colour on the day and washes off with soap and water that evening. Henna develops over a day or two into a deep reddish-brown stain and then fades gradually on its own, so it stays with you through a baby shower and beyond.

Safety comes first at every stage. Our paints are non-toxic, hypoallergenic and FDA compliant cosmetic-grade makeup made specifically for use on skin, and our henna is mixed fresh from organic ingredients. We never use acrylic paint, which is not designed for skin and is not recommended by its own manufacturers.

A session is meant to be unhurried. All we need is a small table and two chairs in a well-lit spot near a window or lamp, and set up takes under three minutes, so we can come to you at home or join a baby shower already in progress.

Belly art also works beautifully as part of a wider celebration. Guests at a baby shower often enjoy henna on their own hands while the mother-to-be has her belly painted.
